EYE PROTECTION: Safety glasses, goggles or face shields should be worn when splattering, spraying or splashing of infectious materials are anticipated. CLOTHING/GLOVES: Clothing such as gowns, aprons, or lab coats are recommended when working with potentially infectious materials. Protective gloves should be worn while handling materials and/or surfaces, which are potentially infectious. HEAD/FOOT PROTECTION: Hood, surgical caps, boots and shoe covers should be worn in areas with significant quantities of infectious materials. |

MEDICAL CONDITIONS POSSIBLY AGGRAVATED: Persons with Glucose and Galactose Malabsorption Syndrome and persons with overt diabetes mellitus or carbohydrate intolerance are potentially at an increased risk to exposure. When heated to decomposition chloramphenicol emits fumes of nitrogen oxides and chlorides. When heated to decomposition neomycin sulfate and gentamycin sulfate emit fumes of sulfur oxides.
